Wednesday for me saw the attendance of FutureStory in Southampton. The event seemed well organised, apart from the problems showing a video on the projector. I attended as a student from Tauntons College studying economics and business, moreover, an owner of a small business in the local area. The event was formal but had a very laid back feel, which was refreshing from the normal fashion orientated college feel.
FutureStory: how people and businesses in towns and cities across the UK are adapting to and succeeding in the new global economy. Theres many reasons stopping us from for-filling the success that is the business world, playing on a global business is difficult for the smaller company based in Marchwood. Thanks to the internet it’s seamlessly easy to talk to people on a worldwide basis to do business with. Initialsketch being a prime example of how we utilise the internet.
During the conference we were asked to discuss the points that stop younger people from moving on in the global scale, I was interviewed by a few people on Wednesday, two of them being video interviews. Attached below is the Video from Mark Hillary, one of the panelists.
